1976 Lancia Scorpion - One of the Nicest Around

This has to be one of the nicest Lancia Scorpions around.

This is a 65,000 mile car that has spent most of its time in Arizona.

It has recently had some engine work done to it and the seller say the electrical system has been "sorted" and everything works.

The biggest downside to the Scorpion was its performance. Here in North America - the only place this car was called the Scorpion - we got an emissions strangled 1.8 liter 4. The rest of the world got a better breathing 2.0. The 1.8 just didn't have the oomph to move the car in the way the body suggests it should move. However, if you don't care about originality, there are a number of things that can be done to make these cars perform as good as they look.

The "turboed" Scorpion I posted in October, 2010, is, in my mind, still the Scorpion to own. It just seems like it would be nothing but fun to drive. It's a car you'd probably drive often. But, if originality is important to you and you're looking for a car to take to shows and on an occasional weekend drive, this car could be perfect.

A big thanks to JaCG reader, Álvaro, for sending me the link to this car.
