It's always great to be nominated for an Academy Award. But Amy Adams says that her Oscar nom means even more to her now she is a mother.

The 36-year-old star -- who has nine-month-old daughter Aviana with fiance Darren Le Gallo -- is in the running for the Best Supporting Actress accolade for her role in The Fighter and says she appreciated the honor more than when she was nominated in the same category in 2005 for Junebug and for Doubt in 2008.

She said: "I'm going to hang out with my little girl this time around. It's special because I have a daughter now, and she can see mommy and all of that.”

The Fighter – which also stars Mark Wahlberg and Christian Bale -- is nominated for Oscars in seven categories, including the coveted Best Picture, and Amy is hopeful it will be a night to remember for everyone involved with the project.

She added to Entertainment Tonight online: "I'm excited to celebrate with the cast and crew of The Fighter.”

Meanwhile, Scarlett Johansson and Russell Brand -- who reprized his Forgetting Sarah Marshall role as rocker Aldous Snow in last year’s movie Get Him to the Greek -- have been added to the list of presenters for the Academy Awards, which take place at Hollywood’s Kodak Theatre on Sunday.

Speaking about his invite, Russell joked on Twitter: “I am presenting an Oscar. I shall also choose the recipient. At last my work as Aldous Snow will be honoured, for best actor-ing.”

Amy Adams Glitzes Up the 2011 BAFTAs

Turning into a red carpet pro, Amy Adams worked her magic as she turned up for the Orange British Academy Film Awards 2011 in London, England on Sunday (February 13).

Held at The Royal Opera House, the 26-year-old actress dazzled as she worked the press area prior to showtime at the annual UK movie extravaganza.

During the show, Miss Amy Adams will be facing off against Helena Bonham Carter, Barbara Hershey, Lesley Manville and Miranda Richardsaon for Best Supporting Actress honors for her work in the movie "The Fighter".

The ceremony sees Jonathan Ross as host for the fifth year while being broadcast on BBC1.
Of the event, Deputy Bafta chairman David Parfitt was high on British films this year around, as he said, "British film has always punched above its weight in the film world. British film is always quite well represented in the Oscars as well as the Baftas."

"It's not that we have a particular bias. British film in general plays well around the world because it's very good."
