This one is a sleeper though, and it would most likely surprise quite a few car geeks at a local track day.
This car started life as a 318ti. It was BMW's late-1990s price leader here in the US. It came with BMW's very good, very durable 1.9 liter 4.
This one has had the 4 removed and in its place is a 6 out of an M3. Also from an M are the front and rear bumpers, side moldings, 3 spoke steering wheel and rear spoiler.
I know I'm in the minority here, but I always liked the 318ti. This one, with an M3 engine in it, is perfect.

Optima Negative Camber Tires - A friend sent this to me a few days ago. It's really interesting.
Essentially, this man has developed tires with negative camber built in. After reading this article and hearing what he has to say on the video, you have to wonder why no one thought of this before. (Or, maybe someone did and for reasons we don't know, they didn't work out. - Feel free to leave comments.)

1966 Land Rover 109 Dormobile - Back in July, 2009, I wrote about one of these. It was the first time I had ever seen one. You can find the post here.
This one hasn't been on the road since 1984, so I suspect it will need a lot of work.

1972 Lotus Elan Sprint - The last of the Elans were called the Elan Sprint. It came with the most powerful engine ever put in an Elan, special graphics and two-tone paint.
There are very few of these around and this one appears to be in very, very nice condition. (What's with the MG floor mats, though?)
