The Universe Tries To Pick Me Up.

By giving me an email I was waiting for, lovely gifts in the post from Asa and Robert, and a bus driver who waited.

There are times when I wonder if there are any limits to my stupidity, such as keeping my wardrobe key so safe somewhere that I can't for the life of me think of where I put it, therefore barring my access to all the clean clothes that I have. I am jet-lagged, filthy and still hating the fact that I'm back.

Later. Trying to retrace my thought processes as I kept the key, I correctly deduced that I would have put my keys somewhere so obvious that I would come across it eventually - and worked out that it would be in my office bag. Thankful that I didn't have to wait till Monday to find them. Off to the shower, at long last.

LDN

Am giving myself 10 minutes to ramble about stuff, but it is almost 1am and I should really be getting to bed. Tomorrow morning I am going for a walking tour around London, then probably off to a museum in the afternoon or general wandering about in the city, and capping the day off with Avenue Q the Musical.

Today I bought a ukulele. Ahem. Completely random impulse purchase and I am still wondering why I got it haha. But of course I will practise it, along with my tin whistle which I bought from Ireland, so in some months I will be an accomplished musician, and eventually become a busker, and then break even the 29pounds' investment that I made. Hell yeah.

There is never time to blog properly, but rest assured that after Saturday when I touch down in Singapore, I will be completely depressed and travel-sick and will be blogging shitloads whining and feeling sorry for myself, so you have that to look forward to.

Ireland!

Hasty blogpost, I am almost 2 hours late in meeting Robert (I promised to be back two hours ago), but everything Internet-related is settled now so I will be good with our week of hitchhiking and camping around Ireland. No connection for the next week! Typing this at SY's place, been mooching off her the whole day, dear girl, but I really need to go now so auf wiedersehen!

BIG EFFING DEAL.

I'm mad and sad, mostly sad that there are such things happening in our country. I don't even care about the debate. As far as I'm concerned these are the people who bring a bad name to religion, and those who are benefiting out of the whole situation, I hope retribution befalls them.

My favourite song right now. This is such a sorry excuse for a filler post, I know, I've just been really busy at work and when I'm at home I'm zoning out in front of the TV, cooking and replying emails. I could get used to this life. Anyway, my Indian couchsurfer stood me up so I was free this week, but I've got five couchsurfers (all confirmed) coming next week and it's going to be crazy good fun =)

Updates might be few and far between as I try to cram in as much academic writing as possible. Eyes on the prize! Boom de ah da boom de ah da boom de ah da boom de ah da

OK I'm off. Finished one hour (!!!) of transcription, now going back home to cook. Highlight of my day oh yeah. Gonna make something with kidney beans and mushrooms and onions and potatoes. I have also just recently discovered the magic of butter.

Redbull Vietnam fail. I fell asleep while transcribing. Woke up recharged somewhat and continue charging ahead! Because that's what bulls do! Two days and only half an hour transcribed... oh yeah Yuen if you're reading this I'm using your headphones because the new ones that I bought hurt my ears.

I shall continue to flood my blog with frequent updates of no consequence. Soldiering on.

Escapism: Gooseneck Campsite

I have to finish this paper to finish this paper to finish this paper. (That is what I call two deja vus in one sentence.)

But at the back of my head I am actually there, in the picture, looking at the river below me, marvelling at the sheer insignificance of myself and my problems in general. I love how nature puts me in my place.

Motivation to finish this paper to finish this paper to finish this paper so that I can write other papers and compile them into a confirmation report so that I can travel again! Ooosh!
