So amidst freaking out here's some comic relief. It's how Malaysian Mandarin is spoken differently from Chinese Mandarin. So funny that we do talk like that! For those who don't understand mandarin... you wouldn't get it anyway, sorry =)

Blogging in bed on a Sunday morning
Housemate David did his once-in-a-blue-moon mail check yesterday, and instead of a bunch of bills I got a bunch of bills, PLUS Kasia's mail! The sweet girl sent me a CD of our pictures from the hiking trip in the States, and even printed out some of the pictures.
The sense of yearning within me... it is a feeling of intense longing, to a realm that I can almost sense, just almost. The careless laughter, the outstretched arms against a backdrop of breathtaking landscape, the heat of the sun against the back of my neck, the joy of being right there, right then! But now it is unattainable, and all we have are pictures to look back at, to have nostalgic reminiscences of. The beauty of the moment is sealed, there is no way to go back. The only thing to do is to seize every moment of life, to create more and more of these memories, for that is the only thing we can do.
So here are some pictures captured by the beautiful Kasia, whose photographic skills far surpass that of mine.
Kasia =) hugs
Micah with Bryce National Park. This is one of my favourite pictures, because it captures the vastness and majesty of Bryce. Bryce National Park was one place where I couldn't stop sighing with happiness, because every view, every different angle, was equally beautiful.
An natural arch in the Arches National Park. Notice the tiny specks we call human for scale.
Me, and the waters of Colorado River.
This is Lake Powell, a reservoir on the Colorado River. We swam in the lake, where a native Indian (who looks like a Maori) hit on me, and Kasia almost got swept away by big waves created by a running motorboat.
The Grand Canyon... and I still maintain that you can't fully appreciate its grandness without hiking to the base, not even if you do. I hope to go back someday, and do another trail. Maybe in the winter.
Here's me taking pictures of cacti on the way to Plateau Point at the Grand Canyon, to prove that it is desert conditions that we are talking about. After hiking to the mid point from the base with Kasia, Micah, Vanessa and Michel(e), Kasia and I separated from the rest to take a detour to Plateau Point where we got drunk with nature and even have a video to prove how high we were. Best detour ever.
Me and Kasia finishing the hike from the base of the Grand Canyon. Finally!
Hermit's Rest, the furthest end of Grand Canyon National Park where the shuttle bus can take you. We chased the sun that morning - we woke up at 4 and missed two buses and finally ended up watching the sunrise at the "wrong" place. Fond memories of jogging around the bus stop because it was so cold, exchanging massages to assuage the muscle pains of the crazy hike the day before, and this weird Asian (think he was Japanese?) guy who took our picture at the Hermit's Rest (you can see his shadow) and his request of taking a picture with Vanessa, the girl in pink.
The bus from the back. I was writing in my travel journal that time. The bus accommodates 35 people, but we only had 17, so it wasn't cramped at all. That's Michel(e) from Italy looking towards the camera, his name is Michel but after Vanessa started calling him Michele we all followed suit, much to his annoyance because that sounded like a girl's name.
=)
Great times. Wanderlust is like an addiction - the more I get, the more I can't get enough of. I need to run, to be free, to embrace life with the company of people who, like me, can't get enough of it. Too often I meet people who are just so jaded and so complacent with what they have. They don't hate their lives but they don't like it much either. So day after day they wake up, work, go to bed... and before they know it, the best years of their lives are over, and they wish they'd done this or that, and didn't put it off till later, when they had more time, when they were richer, when they had enough of courage to take the step.
I say, fuck it all, it's my life and I will live it the way I want it. I'm thankful for what I have, and I'm vigilant of opportunities that cross my path, so when I see them I can reach out for them. Whether I get them or not is another matter. At least I tried.
In other unrelated news, I finally had formal training for dragonboating yesterday because they had a boat full of newbies. It feels great to finally know what you're doing, and what exactly you're supposed to do! I wish I had more time to go for practice, they have it three times a week but I can only do once. Body's hurting like a bitch but it feels really good =)
OK need to go cook lunch, my Brazilian couchsurfer is arriving in 2 hours. Another one from Indonesia arriving tonight around 9. Strangers are (Val can chant with me) friends you've not met yet! And sharing, is caring!

Dancing in a snow globe.
Blogging and singing along to Joshua Radin's Winter, in an uplifting, swaying manner that KF would have considered inappropriate for a rather sad song. I remember with fondness that he used to shake his head at me crooning happily at depressing ballads. But what can I do if I just enjoy singing so much that the corners of my mouth turn up, automatically, while I belt out song after song?

My roving mind also has me looking at my Google Calendar for January and anticipating all the Couchsurfers that will come (four girls! Yeah!), and I'm also contemplating the courses that I'm sitting in for. At the same time I am watching a HK drama with my sister. At intervals I am cupping my face, in a physical representation of "The Scream", exclaiming "好奸啊!!!" (English: Hou Gan Ahh!!)
***
I'm reading a new paper on tourism and identity. Getting inspired. Writing notes. Making a timeline in my head on when I'll finish the first draft of my confirmation report. It will happen, it will happen!
***
I'm meeting Woei in the afternoon. Looking forward to some inspiring conversations. We have an annual talkathon when we meet and just spill our guts to each other. Last year we talked for 18 hours straight. I think this year we'll probably not, since our older bodies can't stand all-nighters any longer. But we're also one year older and wiser and therefore the quality of our conversation will be even better, like aged wine.
***
I remember the sound
of your November downtown
I remember the truth
A warm December with you
But I don't have to make this mistake
And I don't have to stay this way
If only I would wake
***
So many snowflakes. So little time to observe each and every one of them, that I choose to dance through them, creating little whirlwinds, kicking up a blizzard, laughing! For the moment now is the only moment, worries are of no use because I will face challenges when they come, and I know I will prevail, and there is nothing left to do right now except to
Dance, dance, like you can change the world!

I have this silly grin on my face.
Might be the Estonian liquor that I shared with Yuen and Skinny David. It's really good and I'm sorry that we've finished it, but I'm glad I shared because they both liked it very much.
My eyes are half-shut, I'm rather sleepy, but I'm just too mellow and idyllic to move my lazy butt to go take a shower. I'm just feeling really contented and smiley and probably look like an idiot grinning at my computer screen with no apparent reason. Luckily Housemate David is doing his thing in his room.
Patrick left today and did all these little things that were so sweet... he washed the sheets and disposed of the recyclables, and left a note on our white board saying that he left gifts for Housemate David and I. So although I had guests over (the usual suspects - Yuen, Skinny David and Tony Twentytwo and his girlfriend), for about ten minutes I was bouncing around the house excitedly looking for the presents, like in a treasure hunt. Then I found them - a quaint little Middle Eastern rug, and also a handmade green shawl from Nepal! *rubs face on the soft shawl and feet on soft rug* *grins like an idiot again*
Gifts that I have got from my CSers: a thank you card, five yards of Nigerian tie dyed cloth, a bar of Swiss chocolate and a passport mug shot, a little golden brooch saying "Malaysia Truly Asia", two miniature bottles of Estonian liquor and a block of mango ice-cream that somehow tastes like durian, a Middle Eastern rug and a handmade green shawl from Nepal. Unintentionally left behind are a pair of Nigerian pants, a Swiss German book on Bali and a tube of Slovakian toothpaste.
And although I am doing research, I'm also having a wonderful time, trying to make sure that everyone feels comfortable and taken care of, because that somehow makes me feel good. Maybe it's my motherly instincts coming into place. Interviews have become somewhat of a pleasant side product, and maybe it's because of the holiday season I haven't been stressing out too much about the theoretical aspect. I'm just going to stick to interview transcribing, and leave the head cracking to next year.
Right now I'm chilled out, just bopping to Lenka's The Show. This Friday I'll be making my way up north, to a primary school gathering/sleepover in Malacca, and then back to KL, where I will meet everyone finally =) Woei, LL, Mel Sim, everyone!! The thoughts of them give me warm fuzzy feelings, it's been such a long time since I've seen all these people that I really care about. Maybe I will also meet up with Silver before he takes a flight from KL to Vietnam.
So if I haven't stressed it enough yet, I'm happy. And stinky. I should take a shower now.

This is not a test, I repeat -
This is not a test.
I've finally got a place! I've paid the deposit! I'm moving this weekend! Me, no longer homeless! Who would've guessed!
So yeah. Me and Housemate David (The reason he's not simply David is because there are too many Davids in my vicinity so I have to start a labelling system.) viewed the house and paid the deposit yesterday. The place is 50 bucks over my budget, but after weighing all factors I decided that it is worth it.
Firstly, it's near NTU. I am reconsidering the buying a bicycle, skinning my knees and terrorizing the pedestrians option. Otherwise it is only a ten-minute bus ride plus a ten-minute walk to my office. Secondly, I'll be able to cook and experiment in the kitchen because I'm only sharing with one male housemate who reportedly (Jia Ling being the reporter) does not cook and hence is in no position to judge my amateur cooking skills. Thirdly, I am anticipating a vibrant social life from now onwards because I'll be able to host CSers and friends over to hang out, in a space that I can call my own.
I'm pretty happy about it. Although the place faces the main road I figure that it is still the best option that I have right now, so I'll try not to worry too much about the dust and noise level. At this point I'm just superbly thankful that my days of living out of a suitcase/boxes are numbered, and I can finally put my life in order and focus on my research. You'd be surprised how the inability to find a pair of socks can have adverse effects on a clear, inquiring mind.
Right now having bright colourful thoughts about furnishing my room. Happiness =)

Two consecutive posts! I am on fire!
For those who are concerned about my depression and state of hunger, I have recovered and am now in a happy blogging mood. The mood swing that is my life, and the wonders of mediocre hawker food.
Different aspects of my life have also improved for the better - for instance, I'm going home today, woohoo!! This is totally unplanned, and I'm only going home because Tan Kuan Sheng was selling his bus ticket off, so I thought what the heck and took it. So I'm going to be home for the long Raya weekend =D
Put me and Asa together in a chatroom and we'll be up to no good - we decided yesterday that we will go for a roadtrip to the east coast this weekend, and do some camping along the beach! We are going to find some random nice beach, set up my four season tent, barbecue vegetables and burn marshmallows. It's going to be great.
And with regards to homelessness, I have found two housemates to share a house, so the remaining problem is just to get a place. It is rather cool to be able to rent a whole place and not having to take any shit from existing people who live there. I'm already fantasizing about the freedom that I will be able to have. *stares dreamily into space*
Also, I had the most invigorating discussion with my supervisor yesterday. He knows where I'm coming from, what motivates me and what my research needs - and he's prepared to support me in the mad schemes that I am already starting to devise. He even encourages the mad schemes. Quote from him: "we wouldn't want that to get in the way of your travelling", and I assure you that he meant no sarcasm at all. At some point I was so overwhelmed by his coolness that I blurted out, "you're the coolest supervisor, ever!" and I meant every syllable of it.
So yeah, life has been great, and the emails this morning from Robert and a Singaporean girl that I met in the Burning Man are cherries on top. Hugs to Val whom I miss, to LL whose email I have yet to reply, and to the peeps in KL I AM REACHING TONIGHT, and to all the wonderful people I met in the States and are actually taking the trouble to read my blog - I love and miss all of you.
*hops away in hyper happy mode*

Buzz buzz
3am! Just got back to my dorm, and am scheduled to wake up at 7am, and I haven't packed my bag to go back KL yet. And I am a little tipsy. Not drunk, mind you. Tipsy.
And as always when packing is involved, blogging is in order. It's like a ritual of some sort. A ritual of procrastination, but a ritual nonetheless, even when you only have less than 4 hours to sleep, heck, I'll sleep on the bus then. Ain't nothing stopping me from packing procrastination, no sir!
Also bopping along Viva la Vida by Coldplay. It's the most upbeat song ever.
Ladies' night was a blast, and Ladies' Night Free Admission is a mighty wonderful marketing ploy. Wonderful for girls anyway. A great night out, four girls, crazy dancing, two bars, 5-6 drinks for each of us, a live band to scream and sashay to, and it cost me what, 10 bucks? That was for the taxi fee btw. If I didn't live as far as Jurong it would've cost next to nothing.
So Gayo, Namrata, me and Suruchi went out tonight - we wanted to go to this place called Double O, and it took us a lot of asking for directions until we finally got there, and then we got rejected =_= because Gayo had inappropriate shoes (she was wearing slippers). Then we went to this other place where they were checking IDs, and Namrata didn't bring hers, so I gave her my NTU debit card, and after the guard checked it he asked Namrata what her name was. She said "Tun-E". WTF, haha... but anyway he was nice and let us go in regardless.
Good company, all of us resonated energy, sometimes when you go clubbing with some crowd that are not sporting they tend to just suck the energy out of everyone, but all of us amplified our energy instead, when one started to bop the others will just be infected, so we had such a great night out dancing! Especially the second place where we went to which looked like it was for the older crowd, but then around 1am the live band came on, and it was so cool! Even had dancers and stuff, and the singers were really good at heating up the atmosphere, once all four of us were just flailing our arms (like enthusiastic but amateurish dancers do) in our cubicle, and the singer looked directly at us and sang a part with full eye contact, I was so pumped up =D
And then they played Jai Ho and we were ecstatic and just Bollywood dancing away. Damn high.
We've made promises to go out again when I'm back in Singapore. And Namrata's going to show me her Indian wear wardrobe so I will know what choices I have when shopping for my first
salwar kameez or kurta. I'm still a little confused by the names.
All in all, a terrific night out - and I've managed to waste 30 minutes blogging. I really need to get a shower because I am super sticky all over. Electrocuted octopus dance (quote from Chindi) -induced perspiration yo.

Finally, the answer to my loo reading call.
So I've been stuck without loo reading for a while, having finished The Kite Runner, and I was beginning to get agitated because I never, never read academic reading on the loo where I live now. It's a boundary thing. The boundary used to be my room, but that was thrown out because for some reason reading academic stuff on the bed works for me. So you could say that the loo is the final frontier, and that was quite threatened for the past few days when I've been really busy and when I found myself thinking that I could use the time on the loo to read about development journalism in Africa. I almost relented. Almost.
That was before today. I went to the HSS Library today to borrow some books on the March 08 General Election - and guess what I found! Two whole shelves of novels and such, books that normal people read! Familiar authors like Terry Pratchett, Nick Hornby, and etc - and stuff that I've always wanted to sample but never bought because I wasn't sure if I would like them. Like Virginia Woolf, Tom Holt and Salman Rushdie. Stuff to broaden my literary horizons =D
I've only borrowed one book, after all the library will be there for a while, and it's light reading, Snow White and the Seven Samurai by Tom Holt. Found myself chuckling away at the first few pages, it will be a fun read I'm sure - it's about how some hackers shut down The Wicked Queen's magic mirror (Mirrors 3.1) and corrupted the database, hence creating havoc in the fairytale world. The mirror even has error messages, like "Bad command or file name", hahahahahaha.
I'm so looking forward to loo going tomorrow. For now, it's putting away the book reluctantly, and starting to read March 8: Eclipsing May 13. Joy.

Can't sleep!
I am quite awake o_O Yeah serves me right for having a fucked up biological clock now. I've been trying to sleep from 1:15am and still no luck at 2:25am.
But I'm feeling really happy at this moment, the Guy I Had Issues With replied my email and seemed to be really friendly, and we are going to meet up tomorrow to talk things through. I'm really glad =D And then I took a small walk to the letterbox to get my sleepiness going, and I got two non-junk mails!
LL sent me this cute card that I've pinned up on my noticeboard along with postcards that Asa and Yuen gave me, below the Christmas card that Woei gave me. Also a magnet that I'm going to stick on my cubicle noticeboard. The second mail was from Robert, a self-compiled CD! I did not expect it at all, it was such a great surprise! I'm basking in the lovely glow of long distance friendship now, I love getting stuff in my mail =D
Happy happy happy, although all this euphoria is giving me energy hence messing up my sleep even further, but who cares if I sleep through the 11:30am lecture tomorrow that I'm sitting in, taught by my co-supervisor? (OK. I do. A teeny bit. And I think he'll care a teeny bit too. I think I should go to bed now.)
Anyhow - 2009 rocks my socks! *skips off to bed*

I know it causes floods and stuff but I love heavy blistering rain with dark gloomy clouds and magnificent thunder and lightning outside my window! =D Precisely what that's out there now. Kristy said that I look like a happy little puppy gazing out at the torrents of water pouring down.
OK have to continue to work now =)

Wednesday Morning
Since I woke up this morning I have been reading this remarkably interesting self-help book, What do I do when I want to do Everything? by Barbara Sher. I think I may have found some explanation and help for my perpetual procrastination, perfectionism and indecisiveness! From this point on I am invincible!! I love the positive rush self-help books give me =D
There's one exercise within, called the "What have I done so far?" list. Here's my list, in no chronological order but loosely grouped by subject:
Me an author!
*reverent silence*
I think I shall go dry the clothes before my mum kicks my ass.
There's one exercise within, called the "What have I done so far?" list. Here's my list, in no chronological order but loosely grouped by subject:
- Signed up more than 100 people to join Greenpeace New Zealand. I should check out the exact number with Hannah.
- Bungy jumped off Auckland Harbour Bridge (and coerced 7 other people to do it with me).
- Hitchhiked around the South Island of NZ (about 1400kms).
- Hitchhiked from Butterworth to KL and got home within 5 hours.
- Got an article published in Forward (June 2008 issue) on my hitchhiking experience in NZ - AND THEY PUBLISHED IT UNDER "SHAMSUL YUSOF" - TOOK MY BABY FROM ME - in a mistake. I haven't got the cheque yet. The article is unmistakably mine - it has Val's name in it and my picture and my map. I was extremely incensed about it before, but now have relapsed into some sort of angsty indifference. They promised that they will republish the article - a shorter version of it (HAVE TO QUARTER MY BABY SOMEMORE) - but since Zul has left the magazine I don't know if they'll follow through.
- Got a Bachelor's degree in Information Systems and a Master's degree in Public Policy and about to get a PhD in Communications and New Media.
- Got an email interview by German newspaper Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung (yes Val I checked it's this paper indeed =D) and radio interview by online radio Radio Singapore International and some other media interest, all on my blog research.
- Wrote a book, to be launched soon.
- Helped with the constitution of All-Blogs, though things seem to have quieted down.
- Fundraised and helped to organize a Christmas party for some underprivileged children and single mothers of the Indian community. Ended up going to an Indian gathering complete with dance and song performances =D
- Have been (with family or work) to Indonesia (Bandung and Yogyakarta), Thailand (Phuket), China (Yunnan - Kunming, Dali, Lijiang), UK (London - when I was 3. So it doesn't count, except for statistical purposes like now.), Singapore.
- Have backpacked (i.e. planned in shoestring budget, though LL and Asa planned for my debut Oz trip) in Australia (Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, Canberra), New Zealand (all over, too many to list), Thailand (Bangkok, Kanchanaburi, Ayutthaya), Hong Kong, Taiwan (Taipei and Hua-lien), Malaysia (all over as well)
- Have got Japanese Language Proficiency Test certification to Level 3 (two more levels to go), probably can survive in Japan, where I shall go in the future.
- Speak smatterings of German. Mostly random words and phrases, greetings, insults, counting from one to ten. I should probably not starve in Germany. (Ich bin hungrig.) Or die of some forewarned accident. (Achtung!)
- And while we're at languages well I do English, Malay, Mandarin, Cantonese and Hokkien reasonably well.
- Told a guy that I like him. Which is kinda a big thing for me. Though he's probably not into me. Well, no regrets, I've done all I can and the only thing left is to flinch and then to heal.
- Organized countless gatherings for our group of friends - so dependent they grew that they didn't see each other for the 6 months that I was in NZ.
- Have overcome my fear of culinary disasters and will cook more in the future.
- Built a website on Joomla! and PHP, but didn't launch it onto the web at the end stages. But it works locally haha.
- Wrote a paper on the website (pt. 19) and presented it at a conference in Yogyakarta.
- Learnt pottery for almost a year. Though I feel scammed by the art school, I am still kinda proud of some of the end products that came back.
Me an author!

1 1/2 Days till Bangkok, Kanchanaburi, Ayutthaya and Penang
And I've yet to pack anything. I have, this morning, changed my profile on Facebook to "Jun-E is packing for Bangkok" as a symbolic gesture. Ahem. The gesture is still largely symbolic.
La di da. Whatever will be, will be. I'll whip up something two hours before departure as usual.
There's something therapeutic about watching a bunch of aunties line-dancing at a basketball court in the evening. I don't know what it is. The rhythm, the skipping feet, the smiles on their faces. It just makes me feel that the world can be a better place.
I've got an upset stomach today. It's interfering with my blogging. You know what they say about stomachs and blogs. Hmm. I think it was actually rectums and blogs, if my memory serves me right. Anyway. Moving on.
I'm a little sad today. I'm always a little sad when I leave my little cocoon of a room. Wednesday marks the start of my last epic romp before Singapore. After I leave for The Land That Owns Pedra Bianca, it will be leaving home, for real. This time it's not just six months. I'm going to be stuck in a foreign place, although Singapore is hardly foreign. Home will be a distant "hometown", and I'll be one of those vying for train tickets and bus tickets come festive seasons.
I'll have a new room there. I'll have new friends. I'll get a new bike, to bike around the NTU campus.
I don't want to go. I like my room here. I like my friends here. I don't have a bike here, but I can't pedal a straight line anyway. Actually I can pedal a straight line. It's the curves that get me.
And when I come home, it won't be the same anymore. It's like growing up for good. Growing up is overrated. I don't want to grow up, like ever.
Hmm. I was just listening to Homer's Beer Song, which I got from this site. The tune is damn emo, like my mood just now, but the lyrics...
Sang to Frank Sinatra's "It was a Very Good Year" =_=
I'm freaking smiling now.
Then while searching for the lyrics I came across this other beer song of Homer,
Sang to "Do Re Mi" of Sound of Music.
OK I'm laughing now. I think I'm horribly hormonal or something. But you gotta love The Simpsons.
I shall go to bed. Meeting LL tomorrow =)

(sang) when i was 17, i drank some very good beer
i drank some very good beer i purchased with a fake ID
my name was brian mckee, i stayed up listening to Queen
when i was 17
Sang to Frank Sinatra's "It was a Very Good Year" =_=

DOUGH... the stuff... that buys me beer...
RAY ..... the guy that sells me beer...
ME...... the guy...who drinks the beer,
FAR..... the distance to my beer.
SO...... I think I'll have a beer.
LA...... La, la la la la beer
TEA..... no thanks, I'm drinking beer...
That will bring us back to...
(Looks into an empty glass)
D'OH!
Sang to "Do Re Mi" of Sound of Music.

Downgrading from Vista to XP on my Sony Vaio VGN-C25G
I finally downgraded from Windows Vista to Windows XP for my laptop, and it works like a charm. I feel like I'm using a totally new machine, and although the technical support of Sony sucks (like a pornstar), I'm now regretting less that I bought Sony Vaio. With any luck, all the previous problems that I faced would be because of Vista and I shall live happily ever after.
Before this, this model was supposedly not backward compatible and I had settled for a lifetime of Vista, but then Sony published some drivers for Windows XP early this year I think (At least they learn!), so the downgrading process was relatively painless, although a couple of files were missing and I had to look for them myself.
Here's a short walkthrough for those who intend to the same as I do.

Here's a short walkthrough for those who intend to the same as I do.
- Backup all the data on your machine. I tried to make a recovery media kit from Vista, but after destroying two perfectly innocent DVDRs I decided, fuck it all, I'm never ever going back to Vista anyway! But even if in the unlikely event that I do, I could probably go back to Sony Service Centre and ask them to restore Vista for me.
- Download drivers and applications for Windows XP from here. Put them in a thumb drive so you can plug them into your machine later.
- While installing the drivers, I found that the wireless LAN driver (2) does not work, and also I was unable to use the Fn. key to tweak the volume, brightness and etc. Therefore, to save you the hassle later, download these files - Wireless LAN driver and Sony Notebook Utilities and put them in your thumb drive as well.
- Commence installation of Windows XP from a bootable CD. If you've done reformatting before, it's the same. Here's a writeup from Sony if you need it.
- After XP is successfully installed, just plug in your thumb drive, extract all the files from the previously downloaded drivers and applications, and install one by one. I did them according to the order of the list that they gave, and also the extra two files later.
- Install Microsoft Office, Acrobat Reader, antivirus etc. as needed.

Here's a jazz/blues performance that I went to at a bar the other day. I am contemplating whether to get their CD or not.
This song is about the joy of buying appliances. Sweet! And also check out the people dancing and having fun =)

4 1/2 Days Left.
Hyper hyper hyper!!!!
Something happened today which is kinda good but I have to think it through before I put anything definite here, but all you need to know is that I'm jumping around at risk of breaking all my toes (teak furniture rules my house) before I go NZ and that wouldn't be a good thing after all. My travel insurance will only be effective after Friday and if I'm going to break any toes that will be after that.
Anyway anyway anyway!!!
Cautiously happy - not because of fears of toe-breaking - and I'm just contented to let the euphoria sink in. The worries and concerns can come in later.
I've been quite resourceful today, counting from 12am. I did the finishing touches of the photobook for my family, and sent it off to print at Pixart, all before 5am, and went to bed till 11am, after which I ordered a Dell notebook for my aunt and finalized my travel insurance.
Meeting Melissa tonight to discuss our plans.
Happy lah. =D

Dear Foreign Organization (You Know Who You Are),
It is after much deliberation that I decide to pen an open letter to you.
I have heard from reliable sources that you are offering RM100,000 per month for Malaysian bloggers to blog about sensitive issues in our country. Given that the monetary compensation offered by your prestigious organization is much higher than other organizations hiring Cyber Troopers, I would like to volunteer my blog and my blogging services for your operations.
I write comfortably in English, Chinese and Malay, and can also do basic Japanese conversation, if you so require.
I also understand and accept the inevitable annoyances and risks that come together with the job.
I'm counting on your resourceful intelligence to somehow locate this post. Please contact me at june.tan@gmail.com when you do, and then we'll talk business.
Regards,

Holy Barnacles!
I love Spongebob Squarepants. We subscribe to the Astro Fun Package, just for me to watch Spongebob and his pineapple under the sea in Nickelodeon.
So imagine my ecstasy when I received this from XC (FreakfromUranus) who's in the states.
MONOPOLY SPONGEBOB EDITION!!
OMGOMGOMGOMGOMG. I love XC so much. *dances, spongebob style*
So here's a barrage of photos to follow with minimal captions, and you just have to imagine me swooning at each and every one of them.
The figurines. In true Monopoly metal.
The Plankton coin. It's used for a special rule in this edition of Monopoly.
Pineapples (houses) and KrustyKrab's (hotels)!!!
Monies with Mr. Krabs on it!
The most expensive pieces of land: Krusty Krab and Spongebob's Pineapple.
Title deeds of the cheapest pieces of land! Chum Bucket and Plankton's Lab! Hahahahahahaha...
Community Chest and Chance! And following is some of the cards inside...

*sighs in happiness*
