If you ask the average person what a Lamborghini looks like, they'll probably describe a Countach or a Diablo. They were poster cars. (Their styling was a little over the top for my taste.) Maybe, if they read car magazines, they'd describe the more recent Murciélago or Gallardo. (Both much nicer styled cars than the Countach and Diablo, in my eyes.) Few people today seem to know or remember that Lamborghini made some great touring cars. This is one of them (and even I forgot about this one!).
How the hell did I not remember this car? Maybe I haven't seen one in person (there were only 125 built), but still... I must have seen a picture.

I catch a certain amount of flack from friends for my love of the Peugeot 505. All I can say is, drive one. The seats are about as comfortable as any seat found in any car at any price. The dash is unique looking, but everything is logically placed. It's roomy. And, contrary to popular belief, it's well built and dependable. Best of all, with the turbo engine (or a V6) the 505 is fun.
2 of my Peugeots were 6 cylinder cars. 1 was a turbo. For highway cruising the V6 is probably a better choice. But, for blasting through the mountains and back roads, the turbo is the way to go.

Most websites state that 500 of these were built. The seller say the number is 400. It doesn't really matter, only a handful still exist today.

This is an Renault 5 Alpine (Or R5 Alpine). The R5 Alpine was a "bridge car". It bridged the gap between the smaller engined cars and the R5 Alpine Turbo (which was different from the mid-engined R5 Turbo). It fit nicely in the middle of the R5 range.
I've always wanted to drive an R5 Alpine. As I wrote in an earlier post, I spent a lot of time behind the wheel of a Le Car. I liked it, except for its lack of power. I can only imagine that an R5 with a little extra grunt must be a blast to drive.
